About Project Party

A little help changes the size of a project.

Project Party is an independent community project · public beta launched in 2026

The idea is simple: a lot of home projects aren't impossible, they're just miserable to tackle alone. Six people can turn a two-weekend job into a morning. Project Party gives neighbors one place to post those jobs, find nearby people who are willing to help, and build a crew.

01

Community, not commerce

No fees, wages, time credits, or labor marketplace. Helping someone does not create a debt.

02

Local first

Projects are discovered by town, ZIP, and distance. Project Party can now resolve towns and ZIP-based locations nationwide while keeping discovery centered on projects close to each member.

03

Hosts stay in control

People offer to help; hosts choose who joins. A home address is not part of the public project listing.

04

Reputation comes from showing up

Attendance and two-way feedback create context for the next project without turning neighbors into scores.

Why a public beta?

Community software is easy to overbuild before anyone uses it. Project Party is taking the opposite approach: put the essential workflow in front of real local people, complete a few real projects, and improve the service around what actually happens.

That means some conveniences are still being built. It also means the project can change quickly when people find something confusing, uncomfortable, or unnecessary. The beta label is not an excuse for unsafe or careless handling of information; it is a clear statement that the product is still evolving.

What Project Party does not do Project Party does not background-check members, guarantee anyone's identity or skills, supervise work, provide insurance, or replace licensed tradespeople. Read the Safety Guide and Community Rules before participating.

What would count as success?

Not thousands of signups. One real project posted, a handful of neighbors who choose to help, a safe morning where the work gets finished, and a few of those people showing up again when somebody else needs a hand. If that repeats, there is a community worth building around.
